European Exhibitions Plan to Reopen By September

The European Exhibition Industry Alliance (EMECA) targets reopening the industry by early September. This group, representing the European major exhibition centers explains the importance of the return of LIVE events to support economic recovery. EMECA also recognizes that it will be essential to raise travel restrictions to allow for the events industry to return.

“Exhibitions are a source of business and socio-economic impact as well as a source of social ties. However, now that we are ready to host events while ensuring the health and safety of all, the persistent closure measures are threatening our entire industry”, expressed Maurits von der Sluis, EMECA President and COO of RAI Amsterdam.

EMECA states that European exhibitions promise to ensure safety measures are in place and that all venues meet the highest sanitary standards for the protection of exhibitors and attendees.
